In July 2006 Group Training NT secured a third consecutive Australian Apprenticeships Support Services Contract and what was the New Apprenticeships Centre now trades as Australian Apprenticeships NT. Australian Apprenticeships NT continues to provide an invaluable service to Apprentices and Employers and many other stakeholders that play a part in the Australian Apprenticeships scheme.

Australian Apprenticeships NT manages and processes Training Contracts, Government incentives and Apprentice and employer information. Australian Apprenticeships NT also promotes Australian Apprenticeships and provides information at shows, exhibitions, industry forums, workplaces, schools, employer and community groups.

In July 2007 Australian Apprenticeships NT became a licensed Job Placement Organisation under a contract with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations. This is a free service that Australian Apprenticeships NT provides to businesses wanting to recruit apprentices or trainees and individuals looking to take on these opportunities.
